The Des Moines Regional has begun. I will be playing starting Wednesday afternoon with Justin Graver, Jeff Buckwalter, Heather Buckwalter, and Leng Hua. We are playing lots of knock out brackets and then the final day of swiss teams. I am super excited. Heather and Leng still need to finish of their gold requirement for life master. Jeff needs some points to get on the Unit mini-Mckenney list. Justin needs points to win the unit mini-McKenney, and I need the points to overtake Justin on the District mini McKenney. I plan to post some photos and, more importantly, some of the hands from the five day bridge fest.
On a sadder note we will miss the attendance of Andrew Clements, one of our normal precision team players. Andrew was almost completely taken from us earlier this year when he succumbed to marriage. He is recovering and we hope he'll be recovered enough to play the mini-Spingold in Detroit.
